I’m a prison educator, spiritual director, and teacher.
Over the years I’ve worked alongside individuals impacted by incarceration, addiction, homelessness, disabilities, grief, and trauma. Most of my professional life has been in nonprofit and educational settings, and I currently serve as an administrator and adjunct professor in a college-in-prison program.
I’ve also spent much of my life experimenting with intentional practices: prayer, silence, swimming, trapeze, cooking, listening, spiritual retreats, photography, spreadsheets, and long conversations, as ways of paying attention to myself, other people, and God.
I hold a BA from American University, a Master of Theology and a Master of Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary, and completed spiritual direction training through Sustainable Faith.
I live near New York City with my family.
